Exciting times already on the S.S. Lillypad
With just a handful of cruises so far in 2009, a lot of exciting things are going on. The Lillypad opened with a
great turnout for the Mother's Day cruise and were blessed with nice weather and a great turn out. The Lillypad then provided the background setting for a surprising and entertaining engagement proposal by Ben Gephart to Kristen Sheerer (pictured) in front of an audience 80 friends and family. We have also had a wedding rehearsal dinner and a surprise 50th birthday cruise.
The Lillypad will once again be offering a Father's Day Cruise on Sunday, June 21 from 1-3 p.m. Guests will receive a two-hour cruise around Lake Wawasee and a great buffet-style lunch. Unfortunately the Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise is sold out, but check back for any changes.
Elvis has left the building, and is on his way to cruise the Lillypad. Prepare yourself for two hours of hip-swiveling, lip-quivering entertainment from Elvis on Friday, August 28 from 7-9 p.m. Along with the music, guests will be able to share in some of Elvis' favorite appetizers.
The Lillypad has donated its use for the Sunday boat-in church service for the summer. The boat leaves at 7:45 a.m. each Sunday morning and docks in front of Oakwood for the 8:30 a.m. service. There is no charge to ride the Lillypad, which offers free coffee and pastries. There is no reservations necessary and is open to the first 100 guests.
Welcome aboard the S.S. Lillypad!
The S.S. Lillypad has been serving guests fine dining and amazing views on Indiana's largest natural lake, Lake Wawasee, for over 20 years. Schedule your cruise and prepare to sail around Lake Wawasee for a two or three hour cruise. Your guests can be entertained with dinner, dancing and much more.
